Happy Bit: Why Setting Intentions May Be Even More Important Than Setting Goals
The sense of achievement and accomplishment that come with setting goals can be amazing… BUT it can also leave us feeling like we are always lacking something because there's always one more goal we need to work on. Learn how setting an intention is different from setting goals and how intentions can dramatically improve your joy in the journey (rather than always reaching for a new destination).

Now on to our Happy Bit.
Goals are great because they give us a sense of accomplishment. But they can also leave us feeling like we're never quite “there” and that we have so far to go. We chase goals like we chase happiness, thinking they're one and the same.
Enter intentions. Setting an intention is the act of aligning your values with your method of living. For example, you might set an intention to be mindful and to enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells around you. Or you might set an intention to enjoy every hug or interaction with your family or loved ones. Intentions help us to enjoy the journey.
Your challenge: set an intention every day so you can enjoy the journey and not just the destination.
Make it a great week!
