Nuggets of Wisdom from Nisha:
“The world will be set free by women who are free.”
“Who do I know myself to be? A woman who will mine for the gold at the heart of this challenge. Eventually I’ll receive the gifts, wisdom and blessings from this challenging experience.”
Some of Nisha's Favorite Things:
Personal habit: “Every moment I call into my heart a few questions: 1-what’s my big why? I let it live and breathe and see how it inspires me. 2-What do I REALLY need to do today? 3-what would make me proud?”
Easy meal: “Cooking several simple things that I can mix and match over the course of a few days: breakfasts, steamed cauliflower with raw butter and salt and pepper. And a cup of bone broth. My partner is totally geeking out on the pressure cooking. I eat tons of veggies, small amounts of meat and fish (top quality if possible), bone broths, and I shy away from sugar and dairy and gluten.”
Favorite kitchen gadget: “Pressure Cooker and Toaster Oven.”
Nisha's Favorite Books: “Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins”
Best advice received: From Marie Forleo: “What do you like doing? Do it.”
Nisha's Happiness Formula:
“Time with friends (at least 1 dinner a week) + getting support/care for my son, regardless of whether it’s family or friends or hiring someone and they bring a calming presence into our home + best quality food that we can afford and no skipping meals + clean filtered water + bringing my full self/passions to my work + sharing the truth of my life in a way that’s accountable/vulnerable/authentic + I have the overarching belief that people are doing their best with what they have. All that everyone wants at the end of the day is to love and feel loved. I hold that as true.”
A Challenge from Nisha:
“Pull out that post-it note, write on it 3 questions:
What’s my why?
What do I really need to do today?
What would make me proud?”
